MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities are investigating after they said a man was shot dead in northwest Miami-Dade Wednesday afternoon.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home near the 8800 block of Northwest 23rd Avenue in West Little River, where they confirmed that a man was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Deputies said the man was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami Fire Rescue.
Investigators later learned that another man arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. Homicide detectives plan to interview him to determine if the shootings are connected.
Sky 10 flew over the home just before 12:30 p.m., where crime scene tape surrounded the area and a body was covered with a yellow tarp by detectives.
No further details about the victims or possible suspect in each case were immediately released.
