DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit asked for the public’s help Thursday in locating a missing 69-year-old woman with dementia.

According to detectives, Maria Alves was last seen around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the 4900 block of Northeast Second Terrace in Deerfield Beach.
Alves is about 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 160 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a green tie dyed shirt and black shorts, investigators said.
