MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities are investigating after they said gunfire struck an occupied home in Miami-Dade’s West Little River neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 5:42 a.m. to the area of Northwest 17th Avenue and Northwest 86th Terrace after a ShotSpotter alert detected gunfire, the agency said.
Investigators said at least one bullet hit the residence, but no injuries were reported. No suspect information was immediately available.
Detectives confirmed that MDSO’s Northside District General Investigations Unit is handling the case.
