Police arrest 2 men after stabbing, theft incident that started inside Pembroke Pines laundromat

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Two men were arrested after a violent incident at a South Florida strip mall.

It happened just before 9 a.m. Tuesday and started inside a laundromat near Pines Boulevard and 76th Avenue, authorities said.

According to police, 27-year-old Chuck Leigh Forbes stole from another man, 26-year-old Keano Johnson.

Police said Johnson then went into a nearby convenience store and purchased a pocket knife that he used to stab Forbes.

Part of the fight and the arrest were caught on surveillance video.

Johnson Stabbed Forbes once in his back, police said, and is being charged with aggravated battery.

Police said Forbes was also taken into custody.
