Road rage incident leads to gas station shooting, 2 armed men in custody

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies arrested two men after a road rage shooting on Monday morning.

It happened at approximately 9:20 a.m. at a gas station located at Northwest 67th Avenue and 168th Street in Miami-Dade County.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, 61-year-old Manuel Valera and 35-year-old Altwan Marting got into some kind of verbal altercation while driving and then continued after they stopped at the gas station.

Deputies said both men had guns and one of them opened fire, but no one was struck.

Both men were taken into custody by a deputy who happened to be stopped at the intersection and was alerted to the incident by the gunfire.
