AVENTURA, Fla. ā For years, in several cases, court records show police officers accused Alvaro Jaramillo of taking advantage of both the elderly and teens in Aventura, where he lives in a condominium building.

State, county, and city records show Jaramillo, 26, a convicted felon on probation who was born in Colombia, was behind bars Monday over crimes in Aventura and he had an Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold.
Jaramillo, also known as Alvaro Esteban Jaramillo Fajardo, has an arrest record in Miami-Dade that started when he was 18, and police officers in North Miami Beach and Surfside accused him of marijuana possession.
Records show the crimes police officers accused him of escalated over the years and continued even after he became a convicted felon.
When Jaramillo was 21, Aventura police officers arrested him for impersonating a police officer, unlawful use of a badge, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to court records.
When Jaramillo was 22, Aventura police officers arrested him for exploitation of the elderly, grand theft, and possession of a controlled substance and marijuana, records show.
According to the Florida Department of Corrections, Jaramillo was 23 when his probation started after he was convicted of thefts involving seniors in 2020 and 2021. He was also convicted of organized fraud and money laundering in 2022.
Months after turning 24, records show Jaramillo got married in Hallandale Beach to Isabel Estrin, who was born in Missouri.
Last year, weeks after turning 26, Jaramillo and Estrin victimized two teenage girls in a condominiumās pool area in Aventura, police said. His probation wasnāt set to end until 2032.
According to Aventura Officer Christopher Gattiās arrest report, Jaramillo and his wife Estrin shared a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka with the two teens before sex crimes on Nov. 21, in a condominiumās hot tub.
County inmate records show Miami-Dade correctional deputies booked Jaramillo and Estrin on Feb. 25 at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Miami-Dade prosecutors filed a felony case on Feb. 26 accusing Jaramillo of interference with custody, promoting the sexual performance of a child, and sex activity with a minor.
After a judge denied them bond, corrections held Jaramillo at the Metrowest Detention Center while Estrin remained at TGK.
On Friday, Jaramillo was re-arrested and prosecutors filed a second case on Saturday accusing him of sex activity with a minor.
Jaramillo appeared in court on Monday and a judge denied him bond again. Meanwhile, Estrin has two pending cases and is facing two counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and unlawful possession of a stolen debit or credit card.
Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Carlos Lopez is set to preside over their cases. Court records show Estrin doesnāt have a criminal record in Miami-Dade.
