MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A Miami Beach eye doctor surrendered to authorities Thursday, more than a year after she installed a tracking device on her estranged husband’s vehicle, authorities said.

Dr. Adina Setren Gould, 48, of Miami Beach, appeared in bond court Friday morning where the optometrist was greeted by Miami-Dade County Judge Mindy Glazer, who acknowledged that the two knew each other.
According to her arrest report, Gould placed the tracking device on the victim’s car more than a year ago.
Police said the victim discovered in January 2024 that an Apple AirTag had been placed inside the vehicle because he began to receive alerts on his iPhone, informing him that a tracking device was following his movements.
The victim told police last year that the divorce process had been “long and difficult.”
He said he confronted Gould in an email about the tracking device and demanded that it be removed as he was not able to locate it himself.
“Why is this so complicated? The hardware device must be removed from the car,” the victim wrote Gould, according to the report.
“So remove it. Thanks,” she allegedly responded.
“I’m telling you I tried three times and I can’t find where you put it,” the victim responded.
“I just don’t know why you were trying to get the police involved,” Gould allegedly wrote back.
According to the report, in November, Gould met with the detective assigned to the case and provided an admission, however her exact statement was redacted from the publicly released report.
Police said she surrendered to police on Thursday and was arrested on a charge of installing a tracking device without consent.
As of noon Friday, Gould remained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, but was expected to be released on own recognizance, meaning she would not have to post bail.
