BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Several restaurants across Florida were ordered to shut down last week by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation due to serious health violations, including rodent and roach activity.

Among them, Subway in Lauderhill was closed after inspectors found nearly 100 rodent droppings throughout the restaurant, from under the cash register to food storage areas.
Jahnets Jamaican Cuisine in Miramar had over 45 rodent droppings, including inside food storage bags and under kitchen racks.
In Hollywood, Kwong Ming China Kitchen and China Hollywood were shut down due to live and dead roaches found in kitchen areas, with China Hollywood requiring a re-inspection after additional roaches were discovered.
Fast Food Services by Sergio’s in Hialeah Gardens and Mahina in Marathon were also cited for roach activity, with Mahina having approximately 15 live roaches under a hand wash sink on the cook line.
All the places ordered shut were allowed to re-open and serve you food again following an ordered clean up and then a re-inspection.
