The beloved pooch, which hadn’t been seen for months, has been found in Texas.

6 p.m. report:

Mia is a 13-year old Shih Tzu and a longtime member of the Borroto family.

It’s been 74 days since Mia has been home. She disappeared from her Hialeah neighborhood on Dec. 15 after slipping out the front door.

“We’re always trying to find her, call people, we had all kinds of things going on but we totally miss her, we miss her craziness,” said owner Ines Borroto. “Posted it on my friends, I told everybody, even my daughter who lives in Arizona.”

Just days ago, a text from a shelter in Conroe, Texas, a city more than 1,200 miles away, right outside of Houston, where someone delivered the news that they found Mia walking alone countryside.

“She sent me pictures, we video chatted, that’s when I realized this was real,” Borroto said. “And I could just tell on her face it was her.”

Mia is set to return to her owners on Thursday, which should lead to a paw-sitively emotional reunion that will have tails wagging in delight.
