The store, located at 13005 SW 89 Place, celebrated its grand opening on Thursday.
“We are excited to open this much-anticipated store,” said Lindsey Willis, Publix media relations manager. “We look forward to welcoming our customers to their new Miami Publix, introducing them to an array of new offerings and providing them with the service and quality products they know and love.”
According to Willis, the 53,000 square foot store will offer departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce as well as a full-service bakery, deli, pharmacy and an adjacent Publix Liquors. The store also features a seating area.
The new location joins the list of other South Florida stores opening up this year.
In January, the Publix at Wellington Trace at the Courtyard Shops at Wellington opened its doors in November after a remodel and has gone viral and dubbed “Clublix” because of all the extra services for customers.
The Florida based supermarket chain also revamped the Publix Super Market at the Crossings Shopping Village in West Kendall and opened a new store in Hialeah.
Publix is the largest employee-owned company in the U.S., with more than 250,000 associates. The company currently operates 1,351 stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia.
