According to Fort Lauderdale police, Restrepo-Montoya shot a man at 301 SW First Ave. just before 4:15 p.m. Saturday. That man survived and was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
Authorities said the victim remained hospitalized as of Thursday afternoon.
Fort Lauderdale police did not disclose a motive or additional details about Restrepo-Montoya’s arrest in Georgia.
His arrest form in the Miami case listed addresses in Brickell and the Atlanta suburb of Norcross, Georgia.
Jail and extradition information weren’t immediately available Thursday afternoon.
