Royal Caribbean International’s newest Icon class ship will arrive at Port Canaveral this August.

The Star of the Seas will take guests on 7-night vacations. The family focused ship will feature a new restaurant Lincoln Park Supper Club – a 1930s Chicago-inspired spin on the supper club experience that pairs multiple courses with live entertainment.

According to Ryal Caribbean, the ship will have six waterslides, seven pools, a water park style neighborhood for young families and an infinity pool just for adults.

Star of the Seas is the second bold act of this exciting, new era of vacations first introduced with Icon of the Seas, and it’s putting the world’s best vacation on the map at yet another top travel destination,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International.

Star is set to bring Icon Class amenities across eight neighborhoods:

  • Thrill Island Category 6, the first waterpark at sea when introduced on Icon, and its six waterslides – from family raft slides to a drop slide and mat-racing duos; Crown’s Edge, the part skywalk and thrill ride 154 feet above the ocean; plus, the FlowRider surf simulator and mini golf.
  • Chill Island The three-deck area where guests can find four of seven pools and Royal Bay, the largest pool at sea.
  • Surfside The neighborhood designed for young families, Splashaway Bay and Baby Bay.
  • AquaDome – The hot spot at night atop of Star is back with ocean views, shows with high divers, aerialists, robots, dancers and more at the marquee AquaTheater.
  • The Hideaway The adults-only spot with a suspended infinity pool, a DJ, dedicated bar, a terrace with whirlpools and uninterrupted ocean views.

According to Royal Caribbean, the new ship has a total of 20 decks, 2,805 staterooms, a capacity for 5,610 guests and weighs 248,663 GT.

The Star of the Seas will be the second for the company. The Icon of the Seas debuted in January 2024 and the Legend of the Seas is expected to begin its voyages some time in 2026.
