FLORIDA CITY, Fla. – A 21-year-old man got out of a pickup truck and fired a gun at another vehicle at an intersection in southern Miami-Dade County, police said.
According to a police report, Jonathan Perez fired his weapon early Sunday morning after the truck and the other vehicle stopped at Southwest 268 Street and 137 Avenue.

According to the police report, a bullet struck the vehicle’s back passenger driver’s side door. Detectives later learned a judge had ordered Perez to stay away from one of the persons in the vehicle.
Police officers arrested Perez Sunday in Florida City and correctional deputies booked him at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where he remained Monday.
Perez faced two counts of shooting a deadly missile, and a charge of violation of a protective injunction. A judge set his bond at $13,000 and ordered house arrest.
