According to the police report, a bullet struck the vehicle’s back passenger driver’s side door. Detectives later learned a judge had ordered Perez to stay away from one of the persons in the vehicle.

Police officers arrested Perez Sunday in Florida City and correctional deputies booked him at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where he remained Monday.

Perez faced two counts of shooting a deadly missile, and a charge of violation of a protective injunction. A judge set his bond at $13,000 and ordered house arrest.
