HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – A Missing Child Alert has been canceled for a 14-year-old girl last seen in Hallandale Beach, police said.

According to investigators, Jaylise Santana had last been seen Tuesday near the 930 block of South Eighth Street. On Wednesday, Hallandale Beach police confirmed that she was found safe.
“We appreciate everyone who shared the alert and provided tips,” said Grace Mariot, Chief of Staff. “Community involvement is invaluable in these situations, and we are relieved that Santana has been found safe.”
According to her family, Jaylise left home following a disagreement with her mother.
“A notebook was later found containing concerning messages indicating possible self-harm, raising serious concerns for her well-being,” authorities wrote.
Police did not disclose where Jaylise was located.
