Fort Lauderdale police said officers responded to the 800 block of Northwest 10th Terrace, where they found a man with a gunshot wound.

They said he was transported by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue to Broward Health Medical Center with serious injuries.

Authorities have not disclosed his age or identity and no arrests have been made at this time.

The shooting comes on the same day that a 16-year-old girl was pronounced dead at Broward Health Medical Center following a Monday night shooting that police said stemmed from a large street fight in Fort Lauderdale.

The investigation into both incidents remains ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact Fort Lauderdale police at 954-828-5700 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
