Detectives offer reward of up to $10,000 to solve fatal Oakland Park hit-and-run crash

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies asked the public for help Wednesday to find a hit-and-run driver who recently killed a man while traveling eastbound on Oakland Park Boulevard.

Deputies announced that if a tip leads to an arrest in the Feb. 8 case, the tipster may be eligible for a reward of up to $10,000.

Deputies found a man injured shortly after 4:40 a.m., on Oakland Park Boulevard, near a bus bench, west of Interstate 95, and east of Northwest 17 Terrace.

According to deputies, Oakland Park Fire Rescue personnel took the man to Broward Health Medical Center where staff later pronounced him dead.
