MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested Thursday night after deputies said he exposed himself and engaged in inappropriate behavior inside a Dollar Tree store in Miami-Dade County earlier this week.

Manuel Riopedre, 42, was taken into custody by Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies on one count of indecent exposure, according to an arrest report.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dollar Tree located at 1255 NW 103rd St. in the county’s Pinewood area.
Deputies said a woman shopping in the store noticed Riopedre following her while behaving inappropriately.
Concerned for her safety, investigators said the woman began recording him with her phone.
Moments later, Riopedre exposed himself and began masturbating while maintaining eye contact with her, the report stated.
Investigators said the woman informed Riopedre that she was recording, prompting him to stop and leave the store. They said she later provided police with surveillance footage of the incident.
Through investigative means, detectives identified Riopedre as the suspect, and the victim positively identified him in a photo lineup.
Authorities confirmed that Riopedre was taken into custody at 9:13 p.m. Thursday.
He was read his Miranda rights but invoked his right to remain silent, authorities said.
As of Friday, Riopedre was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bond was listed as “to be set.”
