SURFSIDE, Fla. – Plans for a new memorial in Surfside are coming to light.
Renderings for the memorial, which will be built to honor the victims of the Champlain Towers South condo building collapse, were obtained by Local 10 News on Monday.
According to Surfside Town Manager Mark Blumstein, the greenspace and fountain will honor the 98 people who died when the building collapsed in 2021.
The memorial design will be officially presented during a town meeting on Tuesday night.
