According to police, James Riccardo Bailey is being charged for the stabbing that happened at a residential complex on Northwest 48th Terrace.

Arrest records say the victim is a man who went to Bailey’s home at the complex around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say Bailey, the victim and the victim’s brother began drinking and smoking marijuana when Bailey and the victim started arguing.

That’s when police said Bailey reached under a mattress and pulled out a Smith and Wesson hunting knife and used it to stab the victim multiple times in the back and head.

The victim’s brother tried to intervene, punching Bailey before calling police.

When officers arrived, they said they found all three men who were involved in the incident and rushed the victim to the hospital in critical condition.

Bailey was also treated at the hospital and was later taken into custody.
