Miami-Dade deputies accuse Haitian man of shooting man in chest

GOULDS, Fla. – Felix “Zoe” Richardson stands accused of shooting a man in the chest and leaving him for dead in Miami-Dade County’s Goulds neighborhood.

County records show Richardson, 24, who was born in Haiti, was at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Monday with an immigration hold.

According to the arrest report in the case, a Shot Spotter first alerted deputies to two shots fired at about 11:20 p.m., Dec. 5, at Southwest 220 Street and 120 Avenue.

The deputies who responded found a man who had been shot in the chest. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel took him to Jackson South Medical Center.

According to the arrest report, the man reported he knew the gunman as “Zoe” and said he had fled on a scooter after the shooting.

Detectives reported finding two 9 mm bullet casings at the crime scene, and the scooter at Southwest 216 Street and 119 Avenue.

On Friday, deputies detained Richardson in the area where they had found the scooter and questioned him at the South District Police Station before his arrest.

Correctional deputies booked him shortly before 8 p.m., Friday, and he appeared in bond court on Monday. He is facing a charge of attempted murder with a deadly weapon. There was also a pending warrant for driving without a license.
