Dive team pulls unresponsive person from Lauderhill canal

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Emergency crews launched a dive operation Saturday behind a business in Lauderhill.

The incident was reported near the 7300 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard after a person was reported in the canal and did not resurface, authorities said.

Lauderhill Fire Rescue said dive team members located the victim underwater and pulled them out unresponsive.

The victim was transported with ongoing CPR to Florida Medical Center, authorities said.

No further details were immediately available.
