Deputies arrest man for cocaine trafficking in Florida Keys

ISLAMORADA, Fla. – A 47-year-old man stands accused Thursday of trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine in the Florida Keys, records show.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were conducting an investigation when they identified Rene Mancia as a suspect.

According to deputies, Mancia, also known as Rene Antonio Mancia Brizuela, sold an ounce of cocaine and had 3.8 grams of “individually wrapped cocaine.”

Deputies arrested Mancia on Wednesday in Islamorada and reported he also has pending charges for cocaine sales stemming from two 2024 warrants.
