BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A Broward County man is facing charges after allegedly sending menacing messages to Hunter Pollack, the brother of Meadow Pollack, who was killed in the Parkland school shooting nearly seven years ago.
“I have chills going through my body to know that this individual lives in Broward County,” Pollack said.
Authorities identified the suspect as 27-year-old Brian Sajous, who is accused of making repeated threats targeting Pollack in the days leading up to the anniversary of the massacre.
“I don’t know him,” Pollack said of Sajous while speaking via Zoom in court Wednesday. “All of these messages were unsolicited.”
During an emotional bond court hearing, Pollack’s attorney read some of the messages aloud.
“I kill you with your f------ sister,” one message read.
“She’s dead,” another stated. “She’s never coming back. She swallowed bullets like Adderall.”
“My family’s been forever traumatized — my dad and my mom, myself, my brother,” Pollack said. “And to be receiving threats and unsolicited messages from someone that he was going to kill me and put me with my sister is very concerning.”
In court, it was revealed that Sajous previously performed as a rapper under the name “Brian Monopoly.”
Jail records show he is now facing charges, including aggravated stalking and written intimidation.
Authorities also disclosed that some of the threatening messages contained pictures of Meadow Pollack.
Sajous remains in the Broward County Main Jail on a $1 million bond as of Wednesday afternoon.
