The MDSO major reported seeing the driver of a Dodge Charger, later identified as Wentz Toussaint, pulling alongside a white Chevrolet Malibu.
A back passenger in the Charger, later identified as Junior Jean Noel, pointed a rifle out of the window at the driver of the Malibu and motioned for him to pull over, records show.
According to the report, Toussaint was “maneuvering in and out of traffic” to follow the Malibu when the major requested backup and continued to follow both cars.
Both drivers entered the BP gas station at 1201 NW 167 St., and MDCSO deputies detained three suspects, according to the report.
Deputies reported searching the Charger after a judge issued a search warrant and found a purple rifle with a drum magazine that had 57 rounds in the trunk and a 9mm tan firearm in the glove compartment.
Deputies arrested Jean Noel and Toussaint.
Jean Noel faced a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm. Toussaint faced a charge of accessory after the fact. Both were at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Tuesday afternoon.
