FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Two large bullets pierced through the windows of the Fort Lauderdale NAACP building earlier this week.
According to police, officers were called to a shooting off Northwest Sixth Street around 11 p.m. Monday night.
The offices were closed and empty at the time and no one was hurt, but it is not clear if anyone was a specific target or if the organization had received any recent threats.
On Tuesday night, two police cruisers remained parked outside the office.
Cameras on the outside of the building may have captured who did this.
The Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s Gun Intelligence Unit is investigating and asking anyone with helpful information to come forward.
The NAACP is planning to hold a news conference on Wednesday to address what happened.
Police have not announced any arrests.
