According to an arrest report obtained Monday by Local 10 News, Eddie Fernando Mora, 26, was taken into custody Friday on a charge of promoting the sexual performance of a child.
Deputies confirmed that they were alerted on July 31, 2024, by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone had uploaded an image online of child sexual abuse in Miami-Dade County.
Detectives said they later discovered that the person who uploaded the image was Mora.
The name of the social media site was not mentioned in the arrest report.
According to the report, the image depicted a boy who appeared to be under the age of 12, who was naked and posed in a “lewd manner.”
Authorities said Mora was located at his home Friday and invoked his right not to speak with detectives.
Mora was then arrested and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where he is being held without bond.
