LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Lauderhill police are searching for the shooter who killed a woman Thursday night.

According to police, officers responded to the 3400 block of Northwest Seventh Street at about 9 p.m. after receiving reports about a shooting.
Police said officers found multiple shell casings at the scene.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office dispatch informed officers that a woman, identified Friday as 29-year-old Brittany Chatman, had driven herself to HCA Florida Plantation Emergency Hospital with gunshot wounds. She died shortly after arriving, according to investigators.
Police said the motive for the shooting remains unknown and there are no known suspects at this time.
