Local 10 News anchor Nicole Perez and reporter Roy Ramos welcome baby girl Isla Rae Ramos

MIRAMAR, Fla. – With joy and love, we introduce our newest Local 10 News family member, Isla Rae Ramos.

She was born late Wednesday night, weighing seven pounds and 12 ounces and 21 inches long.

Nicole Perez, Local 10 News primary co-anchor, and her husband, Roy Ramos, a Local 10 News reporter, announced the birth of their daughter at Memorial Hospital Miramar.

Isla’s older brother, Reece, was over the moon. Perez plans to share more about her journey as a mother of two in her “Mom To Mom” series.

revealed that her family is expecting a girl, the first girl in her family.

“I have two boy cousins and two brothers, so this is the first baby girl to be spoiled by my mom,” she told Local 10 News anchor Calvin Hughes.

The couple shared their joy and anticipation for their growing family.

Ramos, who joined the Local 10 News team in 2018, is a South Florida native who grew up in Florida City.

Perez joined the Local 10 News team in July 2016. She was born and raised in Miami.

The couple married in 2017 after being together for five years.
