FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police identified a man Tuesday who they said was shot dead outside of a warehouse in Fort Lauderdale last week.
Fort Lauderdale police said officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1600 block of Southwest Third Avenue just after 11:20 a.m. on Jan. 16.
Upon arrival, investigators said they found 44-year-old Gregory Bradford, of Sunrise, who was pronounced dead in front of his exporting business.
It’s a space he rented for about a year.
“As soon as we walked into our shop he was walking out and five seconds later we heard gunshots,” said witness Pedro Lopez on the day of the shooting. “We just ducked down, came out a minute later, and he was on the ground.”
Witnesses told Local 10 News that the incident appeared to be a targeted shooting.
Casey Liening, a spokeswoman with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, said the culprit or culprits fled the scene quickly in a vehicle after the shooting occurred.
Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
