Aventura police officers were dispatched to 19545 Biscayne Blvd. after receiving reports of a child left alone in a silver Tesla parked on the third level of the garage on Jan. 17, according to an arrest report obtained by Local 10 News on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, police said they observed the truck turned off with the rear left passenger window slightly lowered with a “small child” sleeping in a car seat in the rear right passenger seat just after 1:30 p.m.

Police confirmed that the young girl was breathing and not in distress. A cellphone was spotted in the front seat, active on a phone call that they said had lasted over 50 minutes.

Police unlocked the truck, retrieved the phone, and contacted Vadim Fedorovsky, who owned the cellphone, according to investigators.

Officers instructed Fedorovsky to return to the truck, where they confirmed he was arrested at the scene.

Fedorovsky was read his Miranda rights and subsequently invoked his right to remain silent and speak with a lawyer. His statement to police was redacted in his arrest report.

Authorities have not released further information about the child’s age, condition, or Fedorovsky’s relationship to the child.

Jail records show Fedorovsky is facing one count of child neglect without great bodily harm.

He was not listed as an inmate on the Miami-Dade jail website as of Tuesday morning.
