The 43-year-old convicted felon appeared in court on Monday facing charges in two new cases.

Records show that although police officers have been arresting him since he was a teen, he only has one conviction.

It was for attempted murder when he was 19 years old. On Monday, he faced the threat of prison again.

The Florida Department of Corrections released Wright from prison five days after his 25th birthday. He was 27 when he was arrested for sexual battery and kidnapping.

County records show Wright was also arrested for crimes related to cocaine and marijuana. There was a battery in 2018, and burglaries in 2020 and 2021.

The arrests that followed were related to violence against women. There was an aggravated battery case in 2023, and last year, on Valentine’s Day, prosecutors filed a case for a domestic violence injunction violation.

On Sunday and Monday, Miami-Dade prosecutors filed two new domestic violence cases for child abuse and battery. Police officers reported Wright beat up his girlfriend and hurt her daughter when she intervened in March.

According to an arrest report, police officers arrested him near his home Friday at Northwest Avenue and 115 Street in the Westview neighborhood.

Correctional officers booked Wright on Friday night at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with the two pending cases.

Wright appeared in bond court on Monday and a judge ordered him to stay away from the victims and set his bond for the two cases at $22,500.
