MIAMI – A large police presence was observed in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood early Sunday morning.
It was in the area of Northwest Second Street and 14th Avenue.
According to police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 1:52 a.m. after receiving reports of an unresponsive man inside a car.
Miami Fire Rescue responded and have since pronounced that man deceased, police said.
Throughout the morning, detectives and crime scene investigators were observed focusing their efforts a black Kia that appeared to have slammed into a wall next to a sidewalk.
Also observed was some sort of white substance over the black car. Investigators were seen taking pictures and fully analyzing any evidence left behind.
A neighbor told Local 10 News he heard a few gunshots in the early morning hours.
Police have not provided any information on possible suspects or persons of interest as the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death continue.
Eventually, a tow truck removed the car and officers concluded their investigation work at the scene.
