Man dies after street shooting in Hollywood, police say

Police officers find wounded man in car

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Police officers found a man bleeding inside a car after a street shooting early Friday morning in Hollywood.

According to the Hollywood Police Department, the shooting was at about 1:40 a.m., along Douglas Street.

Fire rescue personnel took the man from the J.A. Ely Boulevard area to Memorial Regional Hospital.

The man later died and homicide detectives were investigating the shooting. They asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
