Frozen taquitos sold in 31 states, including Florida, are being recalled after a customer reported finding a piece of metal in the frozen chicken.
Bestway Sandwiches Inc., announced the recall for approximately 24,870 pounds of frozen chicken and cheese taquito products on Saturday.
According to a media release by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 20-oz. carton packages containing “CASA MAMITA CHICKEN & CHEESE TAQUITOS,” with Best By Dates 07/03/25 and 09/25/25 on the bottom panel may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically metal.
The product bears establishment number “EST. P-40327″ on the carton package.
According to ALDI, the affected product was sold at select ALDI stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Washington DC, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
If customers have products affected by this recall, they are advised to discard it immediately or return it to their local store for a full refund.
