According to FHP, the man from Pompano Beach was riding a 2021 BMW M100 motorcycle when he crashed at about 2 a.m., Saturday, along northbound Interstate 95.

Troopers reported the motorcyclist veered towards the center lane, just south of Stirling Road, and collided with a 2023 Nissan Murano sports utility vehicle.

A 50-year-old man from Louisville, Kentucky, was driving the Nissan Murano when the impact propelled the motorcycle to the inside shoulder, according to FHP.

Troopers reported that the motorcyclist “became separated” and “collided with a roadway sign pole” sending him “back on to the roadway.”

The motorcyclist died in the outside lane. FHP troopers were still investigating the cause of the crash Monday.
