NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A 27-year-old woman from North Miami Beach was arrested Thursday after police said she pepper sprayed her neighbor in the face.

According to her arrest report, the victim told officers that Nathalie Belizaire went to her apartment early Thursday afternoon and accused her of harassing Belizaire’s daughter.
Police said the two women engaged in a verbal argument before Belizaire went into her own apartment, grabbed a can of pepper spray and then sprayed the victim in both eyes and the upper chest area.
According to the report, the victim tried to defend herself, but was unable to do so “due to the severe irritation caused by the pepper spray.”
Police said Belizaire was arrested later in the day after officers spotted her in the hallway trying to enter her own apartment.
Belizaire faces a charge of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
As of Friday afternoon, Belizaire was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Her bond was set at just $1,000 but Belizaire remains held on an out-of-county warrant.
