OFF LONG KEY, Fla. ā A group of fishermen in the Florida Keys got a big surprise while fishing off Long Key.
Captain James Paskiewicz and his team from Island Skipper Fishing were trolling near the Long Key Bridge in the Middle Keys earlier this week, when a Great white shark came out of nowhere and started chomping on the crewās chum nets.
The apex predator snacked for several minutes before continuing on its swim.
Great white sharks are spotted more often off South Florida during this time of the year as they try to escape the cold waters of the north Atlantic Ocean.
