Hortencia Vasquez miraculously survived the horrific crash and now her family is making a plea to help track down the driver who caused the collision and took off.

Vasquez’s husband of 50 years, Alfredo Vasquez, said his wife is in an induced coma at Jackson Memorial Hospital with extensive injuries after being ejected from her vehicle.

She has injuries to her brain as well as broken bones to her face, left ankle and arm. She also suffered liver damage and kidney damage, he said.

The car she was in rolled several times.

Vasquez said while the driver who caused the crash didn’t stop, several good Samaritans did, including two doctors.

“One of them was giving mouth to mouth resuscitation,” said Vasquez. “They got into the car and left. They don’t know how much we appreciate, the whole family appreciates this. I wish they could call me or somehow get in touch with me.”

Family members are hoping someone out there saw something. They have very little information on the vehicle, other than that it was a white sedan.

They are begging anyone who may have seen the crash or can give them a better description or even partial license plate to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.

Family members have created a GoFundMe page to help with hospital expenses, and it can be found by clicking here.
