Authorities said Louis Van De GeJuchte faces charges related to the death of 45-year-old Mariah Goldsberry, who died on Sept. 14, 2024, after consuming drugs that Van De GeJuchte allegedly supplied.

Van De GeJuchte, who was already in custody following a Sept. 18, 2024, arrest for methamphetamine possession, was identified by detectives as the source of the drugs involved in Goldsberry’s overdose, according to MCSO Spokesman Adam Linhardt.

Authorities did not disclose the relationship between the suspect and victim involved in the case.

“The message is clear: If you sell deadly drugs in our community and someone dies as a result of those activities, you will be held accountable,” said Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay in a statement.

Jail records show Van De GeJuchte is being held without bond at a Key West jail facility.

Local 10 has requested his mugshot from MCSO officials.
