New clues in Miramar senior’s disappearance

MIRAMAR, Fla. – Local 10 News has exclusively obtained new clues in the search for a Miramar senior with dementia reported missing earlier this week.

Surveillance images came from the North Dade Justice Center the same day Rosa Richardson vanished — Monday. Richardson, 75, used to work at the courthouse.

She has not been seen by loved ones for days.

“(It was) probably one of my worst Christmases,” her son, Lamont Richardson, said of not having her around during the holiday. “Part of me is missing.”

The new images, placing her at the courthouse on Biscayne Boulevard near Northeast 151st Street, show her going through security and speaking to people outside the building.

Lamont Richardson says he last saw his mother sitting on a chair outside their home on Camelia Drive near Southwest 69th Street and Miramar Parkway Monday morning around 7.

Richardson, who was only recently diagnosed with dementia was complaining about getting to the courthouse to pick up a check, her son said. She’s been retired for years.

“I need to get to the courthouse and I need to get my money,” Lamont Richardson said his mother told him.

Loved ones and police believe she got on a bus in Miramar and ended up at the courthouse then boarded another bus: likely the 75A route and ended up in the Golden Glades area.

“She’s out in the streets the weather and all the elements,” Lamont Richardson said.
