Authorities said Turner drove from Miami Beach to Maryland to kill the couple. New Market is about 42 miles west of Baltimore.

Police said they found evidence in Turner’s West Avenue apartment in late September as they arrested him in Fort Lauderdale.

According to a news release from Maryland prosecutors, the Frederick County judge ordered that Turner be held without bond.

He’s being held in the Frederick County Adult Detention Center as of Thursday, authorities said.
