Hallandale Beach police seek new leads in Canadian snowbirds’ 2013 double murder

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – It’s a cold case more than a decade old: Canadian couple Rochelle Wise and Davis Pichosky were found dead in their Hallandale Beach condo.

For years, the Toronto couple would spend their winters in South Florida and their summers in Canada.

The couple, ages 72 and 66, had settled into their Venetian Park condo.

On Jan. 10, 2013, neighbors found their lifeless bodies after the two had been murdered.

The medical examiner determined the cause of death as asphyxiation, but who would want to kill the snowbird couple remains a mystery even a decade later.

One year after the murders, Pichosky’s son Mark spoke to Local 10.

“Our families have no closure,” he said. “And it would be a great help if we can get this case solved.”

Detectives say two women are responsible for the killings but a motive has never been established.

Now 10 years later, police are working with several clues, beginning with surveillance video that was uncovered after the crime showing a woman lingering outside the couple’s condo on the day of the murder.

Police took that video to create a composite sketch of the unidentified women.

They said an Adidas Nova sneaker may belong to the killer.

The shoe also makes a very unique imprint, which is another critical clue.

Finally, police discovered that Wise’s wedding band was missing from the condo. It is a platinum ring that holds five half-carat diamonds.

It’s valued at around $16,000 and has a unique clasp on the bottom.

Police are asking anyone with information or who thinks they recognize something or someone from the evidence to call them or Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
