This year, the drive aims to bring holiday joy to students at Miami Gardens Elementary, Melrose Elementary, Toussaint Elementary, and participants in the Urgent Inc. after-school program, according to a DCFCU spokesperson.

An event organizer said thanks to partnerships with local community organizations and small businesses, DCFCU has collected nearly 3,000 toys. Each student at the participating schools will receive a gift, spreading cheer this holiday season.

“We are thrilled to bring joy to these children through our toy drive,” said Federica Chalumeau, Senior VP of Sales and Operations at DCFCU. “We believe every child deserves a happy holiday, and we’re dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our community’s youth.”

The toys will be delivered by a festive caravan of 10 vehicles, including DCFCU’s Mobile Branch. The caravan will depart from DCFCU’s headquarters at 1500 NW 107 Avenue in Sweetwater at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
