Police arrest man accused of sexually abusing minor in Miami-Dade

MIAMI – Police officers arrested a 62-year-old man over accusations that he sexually abused a minor in Miami-Dade County.

Inmate records show correctional officers booked Pedro Garcia at 10:15 p.m., on Saturday, at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Garcia, also known as Pedro García Pantaleón, faced a charge of lewd or lascivious molestation against a victim 12 to 16 years old when he appeared in court on Sunday.

A judge set his bond at $5,000 and ordered him to stay away from the victim and wear a GPS monitor. Court records show Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Laura Cruz is set to preside over the felony case.
