MIAMI – Miami police are investigating a shooting that left a man critically injured early Friday morning.
According to Officer Michael Vega, officers responded to the area of 5950 NE Biscayne Blvd. just after 2:15 a.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert.

Vega said when officers arrived, they found a man in his 30s who had been shot several times.
Miami Fire Rescue transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he is listed in critical condition.
No other details were immediately released.
