Police officers responded to investigate a report of a stabbing shortly before 7:40 p.m., on Saturday in Fort Lauderdale.

The driver’s Amazon delivery van had broken down along Northwest 10 Terrace, so after the stabbing the driver walked to a Fiesta Food Market convenience store, at 1249 W. Sunrise Blvd., to ask for help, police said.

Alisa Carroll, a spokeswoman for Amazon released a statement on Sunday, saying the driver was delivering packages for Amazon.

“We’re aware of the incident and are supporting the delivery driver and local Ft. Lauderdale police as they investigate,” Carroll wrote in an e-mail.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
