MIAMI – A 24-year-old migrant from Venezuela appeared in Miami-Dade County court on Thursday accused of working with a violent crew of armed masked robbers who had a taste for luxury.

Detectives investigated a robbery shortly after 3 a.m., on April 7, at Northeast 30 Terrace and Biscayne Boulevard, in Miami’s Edgewater. Two victims reported their Rolex watches stolen.
Miami police officers identified and questioned Jesus Quintero. They arrested him at 6:35 a.m., on Wednesday in a 45th-floor apartment unit in Downtown Miami.
Aside from Quintero, also known as Jesus Antonio Quintero Rodriguez, detectives identified four other suspects: Three men and a woman he was in a relationship with.
The crew — Quintero, Adriana Puentes, Gelbinson Lugo, Oneal Uribe, and Sean Mendoza — allegedly worked together to plan, stalk and rob the two victims.
Miami police officers arrested Lugo, 22; Puentes, 23; and Uribe, 31; and Miami-Dade correctional officers booked them on May 7. They were all facing a charge of armed robbery with a deadly weapon.
According to the arrest report, Uribe was driving a white Porsche Macan when police officers identified him. On Thursday, he was at the Miami-Dade County Pre-Trial Detention Center also facing charges of carrying a concealed firearm and battery by a detainee.
Police officers arrested Mendoza, 24, who was driving a white Mercedes-Benz. Correctional officers booked him on May 24. He is also facing a charge of aggravated battery with a firearm.
County inmate records show Lugo and Mendoza were at the Metrowest Detention Center on Thursday without bond. The three men have U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement holds.
Puentes was also facing charges of unlawful use of a communications device and conspiracy of a robbery with a dangerous weapon. Mendoza also has an out-of-county warrant.
Quintero faced charges of armed robbery, aggravated battery, unlawful use of a communications device, and conspiracy of a robbery with a dangerous weapon.
