HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – A 39-year-old woman is facing serious charges after police said she tried to kidnap a young child from outside his own home.
Hallandale Beach police arrested Pamela Monslave back on Nov. 25.
“The suspect attempted to kidnap this 3-year-old boy,” said Grace Mariot, a Hallandale Beach Police Department spokesperson.
6 p.m. report:
Police say Monslave took the boy from his backyard.
In surveillance video obtained by Local 10 News, you can see and hear neighbors yelling for her to stop after she took the child.
“The neighbors saw the situation happening and they reacted,” said Mariot.
Police said Monslave then gave back the child and tried to explain the reasoning behind her actions.
Ultimately, she was arrested and taken to jail.
Monslave is now facing a kidnapping charge and is being held in jail without bond, as of Monday evening.
