NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – Art Week is back in South Florida and a group of artists from around the world are partnering up to revive a historic school in North Miami.
The world-renowned mural artists are a part of The Raw Project, a collaboration to revitalize Calvary Christian Academy along Opa-locka Boulevard and Northwest 10th Avenue.
“We have these artists on campus creating these murals to just really beautify our campus and we are just excited to see this in action,” said Calvary Christian Academy Principal Kris Hughes.
The initiative connects established artists with schools in need to bring color and inspiration on school walls.
Some of the results connected to The Raw Project include increased test scores, class attendance and school spirit.
