MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man is facing two felony charges after authorities accused him of engaging in “sexual activities” with a 13-year-old boy and later paying him for their encounters.
Miami-Dade police arrested Jamie David Mayorga, 31, on Wednesday, according to an arrest report obtained by Local 10 News after the holiday weekend.

According to police, Mayorga and the boy met on the app Grindr and arranged an encounter in the gym bathroom of Mayorga’s apartment complex.
While his address was redacted from the report, online records and a ZIP code included in the arrest report indicate that Mayorga lives in an apartment complex in Kendall.
The two met again on another date and Mayorga sent the boy a total of $300 via Cash App “for their encounters,” police said.
Authorities said they arrested Mayorga after having him come into the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau office in Doral on Wednesday.
Court records show that Mayorga, charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a child aged 12 to 16, was later released from jail after posting a $20,000 bond.
